WIEDER VERBINDEN

RECONNECTING THROUGH SILENCE

Introduction

WiederVerbinden (German for "to reconnect") is designed as a sanctuary for pause, reflection, and mental clarity. Its form merges biophilic design (natural materials and organic curves) with the dramatic visual language of film noir, using shadows and silhouette to evoke the quiet elegance of 1940s cinema. It offers the user, particularly the older generation, a dignified, timeless space for remembrance and stillness.

Chapter 1: Silence as a form of connection

The WiederverBinden lounge chair, meaning "to reconnect" in German, is an invitation to slow down and reconnect in a distracting world.

Its form quietly blends biophilic principles of gentle curves and organic simplicity with the dramatic visual language of film noir. This aesthetic defined by shadows, contrasts, and elegant restraint, creates a quiet drama and a sanctuary designed for introspection and stillness.

Chapter 2: The Elements of Quiet Drama

This lounge chair is defined by its sculptural flat steel frame, which draws inspiration from organic shapes found in nature, the frame flows with gentle curves and softened edges

The use of flat steel creates a sense of solidity and clarity in its profile, emphasizing straight lines and clean surfaces. The frame balances strength with visual lightness, making the chair both robust and contemporary.
